LIGHTSOLAR
LIGHTSOLAR is the ‘Glass & Frameless’ range of solar panels designed for applications where weight, thickness and strength are key features.
The cells of these monocrystalline panels, with an efficiency of 18.75%, are embedded in a unique multilayer architecture: the top layer is a plastic polymer called ETFE that is highly resistant to corrosion and weathering, so much so that it can be described as self-repairing. The panel surface, is always exposed to scratches from tree branches, hail, sharp surfaces or other accidental impacts, is able to self-model, returning to its ideal initial shape to capture the sun’s rays.
In the lower part of the structure there is a sheet of PCB to contain and dissipate the heat generated by the cells in the best possible way and to give the panel such robustness as to make it perfect even in nautical applications, where (with soft footwear) it is possible to walk on the panel.
ARCHITECTURE
Built with 7 layers, including the ETFE surface, the best surface in terms of efficiency and durability, and a PCB sheet that stiffens it, making it more robust and better at dissipating heat.
JUNCTION BOX
The NDS aerodynamic box is the housing for the supplied 3-metre connecting cable and encloses the bypass diodes required to reduce shading.

This special version of LightSolar has a completely flat surface thanks to the use of a new connection method called Back Junction Box and laminated diodes included in the panel structure itself.
The position of the connection cable at the rear removes the Junction Box from the exposed surface of the panel. The round junction box, only 30mm in diameter, tightens the cable making a secure connection.
This version is ideal for pop-up roofs, minimising clutter and eliminating cable tangles and unsightly, complex roof connector.
